History[]
Mr. Hopp's Playhouse 2[]
In 1952 in the Blacklands Manor Orphanage, Isaac along with Molly talks with Esther about the same nightmare she has been having over and over again. Isaac suggests that Esther's dreams have a meaning of some sort and soon after, Miss Beverley arrives with a a box of donated toys. Three specific toys stick out; a tiger, a panda, and a rabbit. Isaac finds them unsettling, stating "These are quite creepy-looking" and he takes the tiger toy, calling it Mr. Stripes.
Isaac and Molly meet up with Esther downstairs he suggests they play hide and seek in the library. Esther finds Isaac hiding behind a bust on the second floor of the library and he exclaims that it is not fair. Shortly after, Molly is found too, but Isaac believes that she should not be allowed to move hiding spots. Molly becomes upset when Esther calls her out for cheating and Miss Beverley comes up behind and orders them to keep the noise down, to which they all comply, though Isaac notes that nobody else is in the library.
When Esther gets in trouble for going out at night to find Mr. Hopp, she accuses Molly of moving him. Molly denies this and Isaac asks Esther if she is not just sleepwalking. Esther berates Molly which causes her to angrily storm off and Isaac tells Esther that she should go apologize to Molly. When Esther is unable to find Molly, she returns to where Isaac was but finds that he has vanished as well.
Later that night, Isaac is heard along with Molly after Esther wakes up from another nightmare. They cry out to Esther for help and she goes off to find them. When Esther goes near a closet, she hears Isaac and Molly say that the Matrons locked them in there and that the key is in Miss Beverley's room. Esther eventually retrieves the key and opens the closet door. Molly and Isaac thank Esther but their faces quickly distort, grinning and oozing black liquid.
After Miss Beverly takes Esther down to the cellar and she escapes her confinement, Esther explores the cellar and is haunted by the Three Curses. Isaac and Molly seem to have become possessed by Mr. Stripes and Miss Bo respectively. Both appear in front of Esther from within the darkness, being held by the monsters like dolls with Isaac saying in a distorted voice "Do you want to play hide and seek with us?".
Should Esther successfully make it to the Underworld, she will find Isaac along with everyone else who was kidnapped by the Entity and Isabelle. Esther will battle a gigantic monster before defeating it and rescuing everyone who are all returned to the orphanage safe and sound. With the horrors over, Esther asks Isaac and Molly if they want to play hide and seek, and Isaac eagerly accepts.
Mr. Hopp's Playhouse 3
When Esther revisits her old room in the orphanage, Isaac only makes a voice appearance within a flashback dialogue from The New Girl where he's asking Molly if Miss Beverley ever smiles.
Trivia[]
- Like Molly, it's unknown what happened to Isaac after the events of Mr Hopp's Playhouse 2. It's currently unknown whether he was adopted or left the orphanage, though it does suggest he lived a happy life as seen in the picture of him smiling alongside Esther and Molly in the True ending.
- It's unknown whether Isaac remained in touch with Esther and Molly after the events of the 2nd game or if they remained in touch with him.
- It's unknown whether he and Molly ever met Ruby or if Ruby knew about them through her Nana.
- Ruby may have known about him as his picture with Molly and Esther is shown in the True ending inside Esther's house alongside the Six and a portrait of Ruby and her parents.
- It may be suggested that Isaac and Molly both predeceased Esther as they haven't been shown anywhere after the 2nd game. The only exception is the 3rd where his and Molly's voices can only be heard.
- His voice being heard can quite confirm that he did predecease Esther and the voice may have been a flashback or memory of Esther's, hinting at Isaac's absence.
- He may have died before the events of the 1st game as if he hadn't then he would have been held captive by the Entity in the Underworld.
